As the weather warms up, many of us feel the pressure to stop hibernating and get fit for the upcoming season.
It’s been no different in the Shepp News office as we realised the need to get back in shape and even more so, there is only just over a week left of winter!
In an attempt to stay positive, we’ve decided to not put too much stress on ourselves, and focus on one very important aspect of our health. This is our water intake.
Water is such an essential element for us as humans. Our brain is 90% water, our body is about 70% and even the planet we live on has a surface coverage of about 70% water.
We decided that drinking more water was the first step in obtaining a healthy lifestyle and instilling better habits.
There are a wide range of benefits achieved by choosing to hydrate the body in a positive way. These include, a healthy immune system, improved skin complexion, cleansing the body of toxins and maintaining weight loss to name a few.
We have a great routine planned and are currently in our second week of implementing the change.
At certain times in the day, we have to have finished at least one bottle of water. Currently these times are 11am, 2pm and 5pm, which works really well with our working hours. At first, we were both quite sceptical but determined to not let the other person down, which has actually been going really well.
Although there is yet to be a deadline that we aren’t rushing to meet by sculling our bottles, it has been a very positive experience. Energy is up and so are toilet breaks, if you see that as a positive?
